The First of Many (I Hope)

This might be a little self-indulgent and extremely wordy for a brief introduction, so just grin and bear this. This is the first actual blog entry I've done.

I was inspired by many entertaining blogs to do something like this. In fact, I've wanted to start a blog to sort of ape off the success of other web bloggers (which, as we know, leads to smoldering failure), but never really had the motivation or time to do it. Until now, that is.

First, an introduction. My full name is Kevin Robertson Devine, but please call me Kevin or any nickname deriving from Kevin. I live in the land of Buddy Holly, Red Raiders, and bi-polar weather, and I am currently a creative writing major and theatre minor undergoing my third year of college. I won't give any more personal details, because I don't trust the readers I get for this blog. Please leave comments to convince me that you can be trusted.

In all seriousness, the only other thing you need to know about me is that I am an enthusiast of sorts about basic literature, film, TV, and theatre. I also am a bit of a nerd when it comes to animation and comics, as some future entries will imply. That may be more than one thing, but I've never been much of a math whiz.

For this blog, I will try my best to give historical entries related to my fields of interest. So at least expect reviews and critiques of movies, TV shows, and books, if not loose studies on literature. Also expect overviews on comics and animation studios like Disney. I may even do Top 10 lists, since they've never been done before!

Other than that, I really haven't settled on the main structure of this blog. The title "Ward B5" is just some snappy title that I developed for this blog that sounded better than "Kevin's Super Fun Interweb Blog! Please Read, Friends and Mom@#$:)" But hopefully I'll find a clear voice and style with the right amount of rage-filled criticism, and doing this blog can be a learning experience for myself and readers like you.
